Fan 960; Flames lose

Last night's game was brought to you by the letter "M", for mediocre. A second game in two nights coupled with no TV coverage meant that only the hardest of fans turned in to the Fan 960 to have Peter Maher take them on an odyssey of play-by-play worthy of Olympic standards. The other option of course was to use one of several websites that shows games for free but when one of your housemates is responsible for the pirating of tens of thousands of dollars of videogame software your connection gets a little fucked up sometimes.

Stat of the night is that OJ has scored in back-to-back games for the first time since November 27th/28th, games in Detroit and Columbus, whose goaltenders don't exactly inspire fear in their respective shooters.

At this point, the only way the guy could make up for the season he is having would be to do something like score a playoff series-clinching goal, which would be awesome because it would also mean that we got out of the first round (and into the playoffs for that matter). Ain't no thang, Calgary still sits third in the conference with one more point than Colorado and with a game in hand. At this point the Flames would play the Canucks in the first round. Would you rather a division title and a tough first round opponent in Vancouver, or finishing fifth in the conference and playing Phoenix?

All I'm saying is, think about it. Next game is Columbus on Friday.
